Deboning a bangus

Bangus has become a staple on our table. It's because it's usually the only fish we could get that's fresh relatively speaking. It's specially delicious marinated fried or isugba. My only complain about it is the million bones. So i've searched youtube on how to debone a bangus and found that it's not as easy at all.

Makati Fire Station

http://ginapai.multiply.com/photos/album/93/Makati_Fire_Station#photo=1
Went last friday afternoon to Comelec office at the 2nd floor of the Makati Fire Station building for the purpose of getting a voter's id as a requirement for the Yellow Card now that we are already residents.  I was surprised( not pleasantly!) that the offices on the second floor of the Fire Station building are shabby, especially the Comelec office.  In my mind, i didn't think there are still government offices  like that which is a far cry from the offices at Makati City Hall.  At the very least, they could have made the place well lighted, repaired the comfort rooms and somehow made the place a little bit welcoming.  In fairness, the employees immediately entertained me even though my reason for going there was not granted. By the way, why do the comelec has to wait for May to register new voters? It seemed like an antiquated practice.

But i digress, once again.  Mayor Junjun, at least make the comfort rooms clean, doors repaired, visitor friendly. Not like this. Me ganito pa din pala sa makati!

Old photos

I found old photos of mine with some friends onboard Mary Joy 2, a vessel owned by Aleson Shipping that plies from Zamboanga City to Sandakan, Malaysia.

Little did I know, that the husband used to work with this ship back when he was just starting out as an inter-island seafarer.  Nope, we didn't really met there. He already left sometime 1997 while my trip was sometime 2000.  It was also the first time that I went to Zamboanga. Never did it crossed my mind that it will become my 4th home.  The husband's siblings live there and his alma mater is there, so any oppurtunity to go on vacation to Mindanao, we always include Zamboanga in our sojourns.

Sometimes, I think that i don't say often how much i appreciate the husband's efforts to make us live comfortably.  Don't think much about our fights husband, I really do love you regardless. Early this morning, I appreciate you opening to me about some things. And don't worry much about those things, you are the most capable person i know. Somehow, your work ethic has rubbed on me and which makes me a better person i think.  Just saying..

What to choose..

So we've already transferred to our new home despite the fact that renovations are still on-going. Most of the people in our household is afflicted with cough more so the children because of the dust.  But we needed to do it so we can save on the monthly 15k rental and use it on other expenses.

So anyway, we used to subscribe to destiny cable but i decided to try skycable's Plan 280.
But since I wasn't there when the tech guys installed the cable, they put it in the sala where it should have been in our bedroom.  Now, the husband is not happy because he can't watch tv inside the bedroom,  If he wanted to watch, he will have to make do with saved movies on the media player.  I called up skycable about it but they suggested that i call when I am already beside the tv set.

Next on my menu is the landline and internet.  I am ambivalent about this considering I already have a prepaid landline and internet account.  Anyway, in case I'm gonna get one I'm torn between the plan 999 of PLDT which already includes a landline, unlimited dsl internet at 386 kpbs and watchpad against SKYCABLE's unlimited internet plus cable subscription.  Good thing, i thought of calling up skybroadband and they told me that they still have no service at my home address. So it just made my choice much simpler: to applied to a postpaid landline and internet connection or not. Since it is not urgent at the moment, I just might have to wait and see a little longer.
