Manila Water Hotline 1627

When we came back from the long holidays, we returned to our home without water. Apparently, the Manila Water has disconnected our water supply, padlocked it in fact because we were unable to pay the bill since October which amounted to P2,417.27 as relayed to me by their hotline 1627.  Initially, we didn't have any idea where the offices of Manila Water was so we consulted old reliable google and found their website.  

When I called up the hotline, I was told that i can still pay of the due amount at Seven-Eleven plus the reconnection fee which amounted to P400 something. So by 10am yesterday morning, I already paid it and called the hotline immediately after and relayed the receipt number.  Apparently, 7-11 system is online with that of Manila Water that's why the payment was immediately reflected. When I inquired, how long will they be able to send someone to get our water running, they said the standard time is 3-5 days reconnection time. I pleaded if they can expedite it within the day but the only reply was that they already relayed the request to Manila Water. When I asked them if I could have the number of the technical department incharge of the unlocking( in search of a better term), they said that they don't have a number.  After about 2 more calls to their customer service, they told me that i could probably go to their business center to relay my request personally.

So we spent a whole day and night without water and again today.  This morning, i was dropped off at Manila Water service area by the husband located at the corner of United and Mayflower St at Greenfield District near Edsa Central.  Since it was early and there was only one other customer, I was immediately entertained by a certain Mr. Nilo  who told me that i paid in excess of what was due Manila Water even including the reconnection fee.  He then told me that I should have gone directly to the business office after paying so that they could have process the reconnection immediately. We could have spend the night free of asking favor from our next door neighbor for water.  Really, what the heck was the hotline 1627 for if they can't sense the urgency of our request for immediate reconnection when all i could have done is go pay at the business center?  All they tell you was that they already forwarded the request but when Mr Nilo asked his fellow employee if she received a request for reconnection from our account, she said that there was none!

After sitting for about five minutes there, I was told by Mr Nilo and the lady employee he gave the order to that our water supply will be restored within the day. Let's see if it is really as they see it is considering that I was made to fill -up a customer feedback form by Mr Nilo asking about his service.

I went again to the business office to follow up because it was already 4pm and we still didn't have any water only to be told that they already sent someone but that it was opened past 5pm already.  So yeah, this time around they made good on their promise that water service is restored within the day but they could have made it easier for me if they had just given me a number to their office just to follow up. That still sucks!

  1. ang imba dyan, bakit sila nagpuputol kung kelan walang tao!biktima rin kami nyan ngayon.kasalanan ba namin na di sila nagbibigay ng bill.wala man lang disconnection notice!nagkataon pang sabado ng dumating kami, from 2 weeks emergency sa province. pagdating dito walang tubig din.sana naman ayusin nila mga palakad nila.

  4. good day po, manila water..tanong ko lang po kung ano po mga requirements pag babagohin po yong CLASS kasi sa amin po naka SEMI-BUSINESS CLASS wla nman po kami kahit anong negosyo hindi po sya naka residencial kaya po malaki po yong binabayaran namin...paki pm nalang po ako sa jvllenos@yahoo.com maraming salamat po sa inyo!

  5. maynilad grrr. im very upset!!!!need to upgrade your bulok system..come on...its a waste of time and money dealing with your staff ...kick them out.

  6. I really hate Maynilad! wala man lang konsiderasyon! Napakalaki pa ng reconnection fee! hayst! kakabwisit talaga!

  7. march 26. around 7 pm

    nag karoon ng leak yung meter namin kasi naka exposed ito sa kalye , dati pinagawaan ko pa ito ng cage para di masira ,,,well ang ginawa nila dito pinagsama sama mga meter eto ginagawang upuan tuloy ng mga tao kasi parang upuan sa haba ,... ngayon dahil sa meron tulo sa meter , di ko naman pwede tangalin ang bakal na nakablock sa coupling ..tinawagan ko hotline hoping that magawan nila ng action....unfortunately, all they can say is that they will forward the complaint , wait 3to 5 days ...does that mean that I will have to suffer the loss of water for 3 to 5 days ... what king of hotline is 1627 if nothing is goning to happen anyway ... their system is stupid ... they are only fast in disconnecting ang charging you extra .. manila sucks....

  8. just had a bad experience too from their service.. wala nga consideration, d lng nabayaran agad dec-jan14 and jan-feb namin naputulan n agad without disconnection notice... worst part binayaran naman na namin pag dating sbay since galing pa office naputulan n pla kame... and when we went to their office for re-connection may nag appear n additional n P1365.21 n sinisingil, we ask them bkit may additional sbe unpaid dues din daw from nov-dec which hindi naman nka-indicate s waterbill namin... so we ask bakit wala s bill... they ended up telling RESPONSIBILIDAD daw namin call s 1627 para ma-inform... oh well if only we have a option sa water service i wont settle for maynilad... nakakainis tlg...

  9. maynilad indeed verry upsetting.... service SUCKS.. nadisconnect kme dahil may unpaid due amount daw na P1365.21 na hindi naman nka appear s previous amount namin.. can that be possible? nde naman nabayaran agad ung dec13-jan14 because we went on a vacation, so nung dumating ung jan-feb14 bill tska plang namin pay with total of P838.78 kasama na ung previous bill, and to our dismay paguwe s house wala tubig, only to find out disconnected na pla... so i went to their office for reconnection and nagulat ako sinisingil ako ng P1365.21 unpaid due daw, how come di siya nag appear s previous bill ko, and the lady just answered 'resposibilidad daw namin cals sa 1626 service para m-inform' tama b un? if this is the situation, lumalabas na parang lumulusot nlng sila dahil sila ang mali and super naabala tlga kme... and worst d p daw makakabit ngaun.. maghintay na lng til tom... NAKAKA HIGHBLOOD!!!!

  10. Sino ang dapat sisihin? Napakarami sa atin mga kababayan ang dumadanas sa paghahabol sa pagbabayad ng tubig ilaw bahay. Kayod kayod marino talaga. Ang masakit dun pag delay may penalty , siempre naman magkano? Sa Meralco mga more or less 40 pesos sa Maynilad 526 pesos, Ang kagandahan sa Meralco talagang within 24 hours babalikan eh sa Maynilad may follow through b? Sino ba sa atin ang gustong maputulan ? Sino ba sa atin ang gustong maperwisyo? 27 August 2014, naputulan kami, gaya ng marami walang tanong tanong sa status ang Maynilad basta pag may dumating putol agad. Same day we pay, but until now 30 August wala pa din kami tubig. 4 na araw sa iba malamang short time, pero sa amin kalbaryo na. Pareho kami working ng mister ko. At may 4 kami anak, isa ay special child. Wala kami katulong sa bahay Sa umaga 3bata ang papasok at ang special child ihahatid sa mama ko mga 10 kalye mula sa bahay. Sa pagkawala ng tubig dagdag intindihin kaya napilitan ang mister ko na di pumasok sa trabaho kung saan isa syang janitor kakaabang sa pagbalik ng magkakabit ng tubig. Sa isang araw makailang beses ako tumatawag sa 1626 para makiusap gawan ng report pero nganga . Napilitan ako maghanap ng paraan kung saan mailabas ang sakit ng delays na ito. Sino ang makikinig, may mangyyari kaya?. sa detalye ng report ref number ibiga ko po kung may magreresponse dito
