Short Stop: Tacloban City

We arrived early morning around 9 am and we stayed for a while at Nicolas Tire Center in Tacloban to have the car brakes checked again. We did another short stop at Gingoog Goodyear but even after changing the brake lining, it still didn't solved the problem.

Abby is seen here on a tricycle for a ride towards downtown Tacloban.  We needed cash so off we go in search for an ATM machine. We paid P20 for a tricycle going towards downtown from Nicolas Tire Center but on our way back we paid double that amount.

Here's us, fully loaded with top load still.
Sleepy but cant. No bed to sleep on. Rough sea.

Ferries at Lipata - Liloan Ports

2 of the maharlika ferry boats plying the lipata-liloan sea route is sadly lacking comfortable sleeping accomodation, at least those that i have been able to experience.  Last 2009, the ferry that we rode in still has airconditioned sleeping quarters available for commuters and we were really expecting it to be like that.  Sadly, it was not the case now.  There were only long benches available and upon taking a seat in one of those benches we were told that those padded benches were reserved for bus drivers.  I can understand that drivers need to get their sleep especially so since hubby has been driving non stop for close to 18 hours without sleep.
I decided we are better off at the open deck where it's breezy but  this kind of accomodation is really not conducive to travellers. This is especially worth taking notice of because its a 5 hour trip and to a mother travelling with 3 kids like me, it is simply inconsiderate. Most do not even have water for their comfort rooms which is really essential.

I truly hope the government would take notice, even inspect our vessels to really give a boost to our local travels.

Even so, it didn't stop us and the kids to have a grand time. We just focused on dolphin watching and making friends!

Anyway fare per passenger as of January 2, 2011 for Maharlika ferries is P250 pesos for adults and toddlers ages 2 above are charged half-fare or P125.00.  If you have a vehicle, the driver's fee is already free.  The Philharbor ferries and Port Services, Inc also charges a terminal fee of P16.00 per passenger. The fare for the  Fortuner(Toyota) was about Php 3,700. Hope this helps a little :)

Road Stop: Liloan Port, Leyte

At liloan seaport, leyte there is a ppa operated hostel with airconditioned rooms with double deckers. Clean enough but not enough water to freshen up. It is good enough place to catch up on your zzzzs while waiting for the next ferry.

We missed the 10 pm ferry and the next ferry is leaving at 3am.  It just felt good to lie down even for just a few hours in an airconditioned room. We immidiately fell asleep.  We were awaken by knocks on our door around 2am.  I wanted to take a bath but there's no water so i just took a half bath.  Well, it was enough to feel freshened up. When we boarded the ferry, all the benches that had foam in it were reserved for the bus drivers so i had to content myself with sitting at the deck and enjoy the fresh air.  Most men, i suspect those who are regular ferry travelers of the Liloan route had hammocks on hand.  I felt envious that we didn't have one. It would have been nice to lie down in a hammock being rocked by the gentle waves, sleeping underneath the stars and all that stuff.

Love + Sexy

Would it be highly ambitious of me to want to have her kind of body?

Will it involve so much willpower?

do i have to forego rice?

I wonder how many months will it take me? by december 2010 perhaps...

Inspire me!

look at you

You dress impecably like an officer of the law in fact, so that you can fool them if the likes of them stops you. You're proud that you made a fool of almost everyone and got away with it.  You are ready to share your money with friends and other people , yet frowns when your bitter half asks you for some.  Not for frivolous things anyway but things necessary for the kids.  You spend your weekends and holidays off with some other people, cultivates relationship with people who are useful to you.  You take good care of your image for all the world to see, yet you care naught for your blood , for the person who makes your home.  Your infidelity stinks to high heavens and you have the gall to doubt her?. She should punch you in the face to wipe that arrogance!

i heart all shoes of So Fab...and shopping at the Crossings...

don't like beer much but i like wines of the sweet variety but i have no photos of those so just posted this one.

How about you?

On Love

Time and again, one finds nuggets of wisdom from forwarded emails lodging on your inbox.  You can't seem to delete it  for you realize that there is too much truth in it and you return to it often for explanation when everything does not seem to go right in your life.  I found such one again but i am deleting it in my inbox but am re-posting it in here.

Handling Love

If you find yourself in love with someone who does not love you,
be gentle with yourself.
There is nothing wrong with you.
Love just didn’t choose to rest in the other person’s heart.
If you find someone else in love with you and you don’t love him/her,
feel honored that love came and called at your door,
but gently refuse the gift you cannot return.
Do not take advantage, do not cause pain.
How you deal with love is how you deal with you,
and all our hearts feel the same pains and joys,
even if our lives and ways are different.

If you fall in love with another, and she falls in love with you,
and then love chooses to leave, do not try to reclaim it or to assess blame,
Let it go.
There is a reason and there is a meaning.
You will know in time.

Remember that you don’t choose love. Love chooses you.
All you can really do is accept it for all its mystery when it comes into your life.
Feel the way it fills you to overflowing, then reach out and give it away.

Give it back to the person who brought it alive in you.
Give it to others who deem it poor in spirit.
Give it to the world around you in anyway you can.

This is where many lovers go wrong.
Having been so long without love, they understand love only as a need.
They see their hearts as empty places that will be filled by love,
and they begin to look at love as something that flows to them rather than from them.

The first blush of new love is filled to overflowing,
but as their love cools, they revert to seeing their love as need.
They cease to be someone who generates love
and instead become someone who seeks love.
They forget that the secret of love is that it is a gift,
and that it can be made to grow only by giving it away.

Remember this, and keep it to your heart.
Love has its own time, its own seasons, and its own reason for coming and going.
You cannot bribe it or coerce it, or reason it into saying.
You can only embrace it when it arrives and give it away when it comes to you.

But if it chooses to leave from your heart or from the heart of your lover,
there is nothing you can do and there is nothing you should do.
Love always has been and always will be a mystery.

Be glad that it came to live for a moment in your life.
Don’t deny love just only you don’t want to be hurt…

IF YOU KEEP YOUR HEART OPEN,
IT WILL COME AGAIN!

30-10 Experiment...

Okay.  I am gonna do this 30-10 experiment.  For the next 30 days, I am going to give 10 minutes of every day spent in prayer, i will do my quality 10 service whether it be at work, at home or with any circumstance i find myself in, and i will give 10% of my income to the church of God who helps fellow believers. It is said that the Law of the Harvest is true.  You reap what you sow.  If i plant small , then my harvest is small but if i plant big then my harvest is big.  I will give my quality 10% in my work, in my relationship and let's see what happens.  I only pray, I will be able to do this...

Who unfollowed you on twitter?

If you have a twitter account, you must be wondering why there are people whom you do not know  personally but follows your tweets.  You may feel a certain bit of high( ha ha), thinking that your tweets are interesting enough to be followed.  Equally interesting is knowing that there will be people who will get tired of following your tweets.  Don't take it to heart, it's as normal as the sea's ebb and tide.  People will choose to follow you for a time and then unfollow you when they think your tweets no longer hold any significance to them. If you want to know the people who unfollow you for the simple reason that you just want to be informed, here are two applications who will let you do just that:

1.  Unfollowr.  All you have to do us follow Unfollowr on Twitter.  When somebody unfollows you, you will get a direct message notification from Unfollowr.

2.  Qwitter.  This one emails you when somebody stops following you and lets you know the last tweet when they stopped following you on twitter.
