It's now 2nd quarter of the year and here i am just laying out the things i want to achieve this year. I figured it is better late than never having goals to look forward to achieving. Besides, putting in writing all of the things you want to achieve seemed like taking the first step to make your dreams concrete. I'm setting my sights a little bit higher this year probably because this felt like the best time to be gutsy. My goals for 2010 are:
1. Open up a lotto outlet
2. Get myself a brand new vios
3. Return to my pre-pregnancy weight of 110 lbs and lose inches on my tummy, arms and legs
4. Earn money online through blogs and odesk
I have been earning money online before but i have stopped. Lately, i have been blogging more often and today I have activated my odesk search for jobs again. Losing weight is a must for health and for my personal satisfactioncurrently at 125 lbs. I am My goals have never been clearer than at this moment. With God's guidance, hope and possibility abounds..

Tips on getting work at oDesk
A new friend through Facebook has asked me for some pointers in getting work at oDesk. Since i become an oDesk member, I have been blessed by buyers choosing me for their jobs and so i thought it must be easy for everybody as well. If you are not getting enough work at oDesk, let me share a few tips of mine:
1. Play to your strength
When you register at oDesk you will be ask for your area of expertise or at least those areas where you are comfortable you can deliver the work required. While my background is in finance, I can also write articles and even do data entry and so i include this in my skills listing. In return, I get notifications from oDesk of job listings specifically catering to my skills.
2. Create an online presence
Part of the reason why i maintain this website it to show my potential employers sample of my posts during application and interview so they would get a feel of my writing and the field where i am most comfortable. If they assign me a topic, they will know what style i will employ since they are already acquainted with my writing style through this website. In a way, this blog of mine is no longer just for personal outbursts but that it is also helping me earn money online.
3. Give a competitive rate
Business is always about getting the most out of your investment and so buyers will always chose the service provider which offers the lowest cost assuming all things are equal. But don't give out a rate that is way too low else you might get swamped with job offers which later on you will be unable to fulfill. You will suffer that way because you will have low feedback rating from your buyer. If you set a low hourly rate, you can always negotiate later with your buyer especially for those more difficult assignment. I get a different rate for freelance academic work than for web content with SEO. There is no hard and fast rule to setting up a rate, all depends on how you can market your skills but do take the time to survey the rates offered by similar providers.
After you get job offers, do meet the buyer's deadline. It makes for good working relationship and they will give you priority for future job. Paid-to-click sites...
If you're struggling like me to earn money online, I'm sure that at one time or another you have encountered PTC sites or Paid-to-click sites. These are websites that tells you they will pay you so much if you go and surf their ads, click the sites usually after observing around 30 seconds.Payment per click ranges from .025 to .07 at least those that i have found and tried.

What draw me to their site is that they are offering .07 per click and $77 bonus upon registration plus they said instant cash out. Well, it's not true because as of yesterday i accumulated around $1,000+ and i wanted to cash it out but i can't because they want me to register for referrals which will require that i pay them money. I decided to just delete my account. So there, I rid myself of junk email and a useless PTC site. Well, not actually useless because they promised a pay-out ofa minimum $10,000 US for free members. I guess, I'll just have to find other online ways to make money.
Anyway, I still have three more PTC sites to try on. Actually, it's an old account(Performance Bux) but i haven't been logging in because it just seems so much effort to go to their website and surf on their ads. However, if i have proven that indeed anybody can cash out their earnings without paying additional, i wouldn't hesitate to blurt it out here. So there...
